abrMate is a freeware Windows application I wrote that has the ability to open Adobe Photoshop .abr brush preset files for previewing, organizing, or exporting brushes to .png's. I began writing abrMate because there didn't seem to be a full-featured free Windows application out there for opening and organizing brush files. Sometimes you don't want to load Adobe Photoshop just to manage your brushes and sometimes they can be hard to organize sometimes with thousands of brushes.
abrMate provides the ability to convert brush files that may have been created in newer Photoshop CS versions such as CS5 into new brush files that can be opened in Adobe Photoshop 7 or newer. This can be very useful if you want to download brush sets online but they have been created in newer versions of Adobe Photoshop that you currently have.
With abrMate, you can export either a single brush to a .png or all open brushes to .png's at once. This is very useful if Adobe Photoshop is not the only graphic design software you use. abrMate also provides the ability to export all open brushes to a thumbnail preview .png which is very useful for brush authors looking to provide preview graphics with their brushes.
I decided to make abrMate free so that as many people as possible can benefit from it, but if you find it useful, consider donating via PayPal! Donations keep me interested in investing time into this project to continue adding updates, bug fixes, and features. Any donation, no matter how large or small is always appreciated!
If you would like to see a feature added to the next version of abrMate or are having trouble with a bug that you would like to see fixed, you can submit your request as a registered user on your Profile Page. User feedback will help to make abrMate a much better piece of software over time. You can also visit the abrMate section in the Forums to leave feedback or request anything.

The stock textures, texture packs, brush packs, and any other resources available for download on this site are completely free and may be used in commercial or non-commercial applications. Credit to texturemate for use of available textures or brushes is appreciated, but not required. These textures may be used in 3D modeling software packages where their appearance is altered, such as Blender, 3DS Max, Solidworks, CAD, or Second Life. They may also be used in scrapbooking applications. The only exception is that they cannot be redistributed commercially in their unedited form. These textures cannot be re-packaged and resold without significant modifications to their appearance. Brush packs may be used to create unique images in Gimp or Adobe Photoshop, but they cannot be redistributed without being significantly edited. My name is Bill Scott; I'm an Electrical Engineer who dabbles as a photographer, graphic artist, web designer, and 3d modeler in my spare time. I created texturemate as my portal to share my own texture images, stock photographs, brushes and other resources I create with others online. I hope you enjoy!
